The Historical Museum of Shkodra, known as the “Oso Kuka” Museum, is one of the most important museums in Albania. It started its full institutional operation since 1949, while since 1996 it has been located in a characteristic Shkodra building from where it is also known as the “Oso Kuka” Museum. The museum’s fund, originally composed of Jesuit and Franciscan collections, continuously enriched thanks to donations, purchases and archaeological discoveries, also contains Xhubleta represented in several typologies such as that of the Great Highlands including that of the maiden, Dukagjin and Shllak. The museum fund owns 11 xhubleta which belong to the years 1920-1930 and became part of the museum, thanks to donations but also purchases of the institution itself, in the period between 1960-1970.
